O is for Outstanding
Nursery receives top marks from OfSTED Lincolnshire based nursery and Out of School Club - the children's house - is celebrating receiving the highest possible grade in its recent OfSTED inspection - outstanding in all areas.
Club and nursery were judged on keeping children safe, staying healthy, enjoyment and achievement, making a positive contribution, organisation and leadership and management.
Following a rigorous inspection, in which the Inspector observed practice with children from six months to 11 years old, she revealed the outstanding grading. No recommendations for improvement were made
Local Montessori centre secures first accreditation in the region
The children's house nursery and Montessori School in Stallingborough are the first in the region to have secured a prestigious accreditation to deliver Montessori education.The local centre is only the second school in north of England to achieve the kitemark from a national body.

It aims to show just what the Montessori education philosophy is really about.
Montessori Teachers graduate
As students across North East Lincolnshire eagerly await exam results, one set of teachers at a Stallingborough nursery and school have just graduated.Five members of staff from the children?s house and the montessori school, Stallingborough, will, on Saturday 29th July , graduate with the prestigious Level 4 Montessori Diploma following two years of intensive study.

Local Children's Club hosts Artist in Residence
Children at the montessori school Holiday Club in Stallingborough will be working with a professional photographer in residence thanks to an award from Arts Council England (Yorkshire). £4000 has been granted to the club to commission work with an artist in a self-portrait project entitled Looking at MeThe successful bid will enable both 4-11 year old children at the montessori school Holiday Club, to work on the project exploring identity and sense of self through a range of photographic styles.
Sound foundations
Pre-school children at the children?s house nursery in Stallingborough will be working with professional musicians in a pioneering project to create digital music.
The project involves workshops in which the children use a MidiCreator which is a music technology device that translates physical movement into musical sounds.
International delegation to visit local nursery
A Chinese delegation is heading for North East Lincolnshire later this month in a bid to learn about early years education at the areas award-winning children?s house nursery and Montessori school.Some eighteen officials, including teachers and government representatives will arrive at the
Stallingborough nursery and school on Tuesday 28th February to see the Montessori method of education at work.
Organised by the British Council, the ten day fact-finding mission will take in nine early years centres across the country including Early Excellence Centres in London and Yorkshire. The aim of the visit is for Chinese authorities to develop more child-centred education.

The future is not just bright for the montessori school - it?s green!Environmentally friendly children from the North East Lincolnshire school have secured their first coveted Eco-Schools Flag award at Bronze level, as only the second school in the area to do so.
Managed in England by ENCAMS (who also run the Keep Britain Tidy campaign) Eco-Schools asks children to set up a committee which has representatives of all members of the school community.
They then look at problems from how much rubbish they throw out to how much electricity they waste and create an action plan to sort them out.
French theatre Company to visit Stallingborough
Transformations Theatre (based in Chambery in the French Alps) will be visiting Stallingborough VillageHall this autumn to present their masked musical performance The Enchanteurs.
The musical play which involves professional opera singers is aimed at children aged 4-8.
The play, created through improvisation has a fast moving and dynamic pace. Music, song, text and
slapstick are combined to create a strong comical piece of musical theatre.
Local Director recognised as National Champion
Sylvia Archer, Director of the children?s house & montessori school has been recognised as achampion for the nursery sector by a national body. At a gala dinner on Tuesday 22 June, Sylvia
was awarded ?champion status? by the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) in
recognition of her years of dedication to other nurseries in North East Lincolnshire and across
the country.
